Funeral services were held here today for Mitchell May, a former justice of the New York State Supreme Court and prominent Jewish communal leader, who died here at the age of 90. He served in Congress from 1899 to 1901.
Born in Brooklyn, Judge May was for many years president of the Brooklyn Federation of Charities, now merged with the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York. He was a member of the boards of directors of a number of Jewish organizations and institutions.
