Dr. Henry H. Kessler, outstanding American Jewish surgeon, will receive one of the three Albert Lasker Awards at the Sixth World Congress of the International Society for the Welfare of Cripples. Announcement of the three award winners was made here today by the Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation which sponsors the grants. Each winner will receive $1, 000 in addition to a silver statuette.
Dr. Kessler, who heads an institute for rehabilitation, bearing his name, at West Orange, N. J., was selected for the award for his “distinguished leadership in the growth throughout the world of concern for the disabled, and of effective programs for their rehabilitation. “
