Jewish Girl, Winner of Olympic Gold Medal, Decorated in Moscow

A 17-year-old Jewish girl, Tamara Press, who won a gold medal in the recent Olympic games in Rome, has been awarded the Order of Lenin, the Soviet Union’s highest distinction, it was reported here today. Miss Press was one of 317 Soviet athletes and coaches on whom the Soviet Presidium has conferred orders and medals.
