The World Jewish congress executive committee today accused the league of Nations of not acting to enforce the league-guaranteed Danzig constitution in the face of organized pogroms and unconstitutional racial laws. The Danzig Nazis are seeking to force all Jews to leave the free city, the congress said in telegraphed appeals to the league’s committee of three on Danzig, foreign minister Josef beck of Poland, league secretary-general Joseph c. Avenol and the high commissioner at Danzig.

The telegram follows: “the Executive committee of the World Jewish congress addresses an urgent appeal to you, as members of the committee of three of the council of the league of nations, asking you to take steps necessary following cruel persecutions of the Jews in Danzig. The government of this free city organized pogroms, decreed the introduction of racist legislation, and finally obliged the entire Jewish population to leave its territory on short notice, without the least action being taken by the league of Nations, guarantor of the constitution and equality of rights of the citizens.”
