The military commander for the Jerusalem district today closed indefinitely the Jewish bus routes to Rehavia, the Geula quarter and Machine Yehuda district as “punishment for firing by Jews on Arabs buses yesterday in the Romema quarter and Katamon quarter.” He warned Arabs and Jews against further violence.
Police rounded up 26 Zionist-Revisionists in Tel Aviv, Petach Tikvah and Ramat Gan. Among those arrested are Dr. David Bukspan, head of the Revisionists’ Palestine Executive; Moshe Joelson, a leader of the B’rith Trumpeldor; the vice-president of the Ramat Gan local council; Dr. Shimshon Younichman, head of the B’rith Trumpeldor in Tel Aviv; Yonah Kopf, nephew of Vladimir Jabotinsky, and Shalmo Rosoff of Haifa.
