Israel trade with Britain has increased this year by comparison with 1958, according to figures published here today, covering a seven-month period ending last July 31.
During the period, Israel imported from Britain 9,972,435 pounds sterling worth of goods for its own use, plus 673,213 pounds sterling worth for re-export. At the same time, Israel exported to Britain goods valued at 12,869,003 pounds sterling.
In the comparable period of 1958, Israeli imports from Britain totalled a value of 8,160,523 pounds sterling for internal use, plus a value of 414,804 pounds sterling for re-export. Israeli exports to Britain in the 1958 period totalled a value of 10,505,249 pounds sterling.
