Israeli security forces killed two Palestinians in separate operations. The Air Force fired a missile Wednesday at two Palestinian gunmen who tried to lay a bomb near the security fence on the northern Gaza Strip. One was killed and later identified as a member of Hamas. In the West Bank, Israeli troops raided Hebron in a sweep for suspected terrorists. While searching a home they came under attack by the owner, a man in his 60s, and shot him dead. Palestinians accused the army of an “execution,” while the army said its soldiers acted in self-defense.
