Israeli police scuffled with settlers in Hebron who tried to rebuild an unauthorized outpost. Thursday’s confrontation at the Hazon David outpost, during which dozens of settlers were arrested and several policemen were injured, followed repeated attempts this week by security forces to seal or remove a mobile home and tent synagogue at the site. Police officials did not immediately comment on the scuffles, which began in the morning as settlers tried to rebuilt the outpost in the “Pilgrim’s Passage,” leading to Hebron’s Tomb of the Patriarchs.
