Israel is considering the release of Palestinians jailed for involvement in deadly terrorist attacks as part of efforts to retrieve a captive soldier. Israeli sources said Thursday that select prisoners “with blood on their hands” could go free in an eventual swap for Cpl. Gilad Shalit, who has been held by Palestinian gunmen in the Gaza Strip since June.
