The Israel Government was urged today to save the lives of 70 Jews arrested in Iraq under various charges as well as to speed up the emigration of Jews from Iraq to Israel.
A resolution to this effect was adopted at a special memorial prayer meeting held at the Great Synagogue here for the two Jewish youths who were hanged in Baghdad last week. Thousands of Jews attended the prayer meeting which was followed by speeches delivered by representatives of the Jewish Agency, the Ministry for Religious Affairs and the Iraqi Jewish community in Israel.
