The position to be taken by Israel’s delegation at the United Nations next Wednesday, when the Israeli and Syrian complaints against each other come before the Security Council, was reported to a meeting of the Cabinet here today by Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister.
In her report, Mrs. Meir reviewed details of Israel’s diplomatic contacts on the issue, both here and abroad. She told the Cabinet that Gideon Rafael, deputy director-general of the Foreign Ministry, and Col. Meir Amit, chief of intelligence for the Israeli Army, left today for New York to join the Israel delegation at the United Nations for the Security Council debate.
