Hungarian Jews may no longer be granted licenses to engage in wholesale trade according to a new decree issued by the von Kallay government, the Berlin radio reported today from Budapest.
Declaring that the order was aimed “at speeding up the purging of Jews from Hungarian trade,” the Nazi broadcaster added that “measures are being prepared to deal with Jewish businessmen whose names are already in the trade register.”
