Open warfare on the Jewish terrorist groups in Palestine was proclaimed today by the Histadruth, the Jewish Federation of Labor.
Addressing a press conference, Eliahu Golomb, one of the Histadruth leaders, emphasized that “organized Jewish Palestine will fight the terrorists and will conduct the fight not as one section of Palestine Jewry, but in the name of all the Jews of the country.” He indicated that the fight against the terrorists will be pressed vigorously.
Mr. Golomb also stated that the Jewish Brigade now in formation will go into action soon, possibly this winter. Premier Churchill, he said, will decide whether the colors of the Brigade are to be only Blue-White or a combination of Blue-White with the Union Jack. Negotiations are now being conducted in France with Jewish Maquis groups concerning the possibility of their joining the Jewish Brigade, he revealed.
