The Hebrew University is one of the three remarkable factors which, according to Sir Denison Ross, director of the London School of Oriental Studies who returned from a tour of educational institutions in the Middle East, show the rise of culture in the Middle East.

The three factors are first, King Fuad’s interest in Arab learning; secondly, the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and third, the endeavors of the Persian Shah to forward intellectual development among the Persians.
