H.A. Condell, noted stage designer, who came here as a refugee from Germany in 1939, died here last night at the age of 45. An associate of the late Max Reinhardt, he achieved a reputation with the Berlin Civic Opera and the Jewish Kulturbund Theatre. In this country, he won critical approval for his sets and costuming of several operas.
