The opening session of a national emergency conference of the Mizrachi Organization last night heard Dr. Solomon Goldman, former president of the Zionist Organization of America, urge American Jews to live up to their responsibilities of “this great moment” in rebuilding Palestine.

Addressing 350 delegates and hundreds of guests at the Hotel LaSalle, Dr. Goldman stressed that the American Jews were the only ones able to save the European Jews from starvation and to build Palestine. Other speakers included Gedaliah Bublick and Mayor Edward Kelly. Today was devoted to committee meetings and the convention resumed on Saturday evening.
