The Ministry of Absorption has announced that it has made the necessary arrangements for the absorption of large number of Bukharan Jews now arriving in Israel, using patterns of settlement similar to those used in settling Georgian Jews. Natan Peled, Minister of Absorption, made this statement while visiting the Lachish area and the Shderot township, where new immigrants are currently being settled. The Bukharan Jews will be sent to regions where they can form their own communities, very much like the communal centers set up for the Georgian Jews.
