Funeral services were held on Thursday for Joseph Bragin, founder and principal of New York’s only Hebrew High School who succumbed at the age of 57 to injuries sustained in an automobile accident last Sunday.
Interment took place at the Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Dr. Mordecai M. Kaplan of the Society for the Advancement of Judaism officiated.
Mr. Bragin was a member of the Faculty of the Teachers Institute of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and had been active in educational work for thirty years.
Representatives of the Teachers Institute and the Jewish Theological Seminary attended the services.
