Frank Goldman, 74, honorary president of B’nai B’rith, died here today at the age of 74. Mr. Goldman was international president of B’nai B’rith from 1947 to 1950, and played an important role in aiding the emergence of Israel and in the reconstruction and resettlement of the European Jewish communities in postwar years.
Mr. Goldman was also vice-chairman of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, a member of the national commission of B’nai B’rith’s Anti-Defamation League and the board of directors of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, vice-president of the National Jewish Hospital at Denver, a member of the board of governors of the Hebrew University at Jerusalem, a member of the board of overseers of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, and a leader in many other Jewish and general civic and philanthropic activities.
