Nazi terror continues unabated although with incresed secrecy. The New Statesman, noted London Liberal weekly, declared today in publishing a report received from the Sonnenberg concentration camp. The paper insists that the impression that the Nazi terror has ceased is gaining ground merely through the efforts of the German Ministry of Propaganda headed by Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels.

Among the brutalities recorded in The New Statesman is the case of a Jewish manufacturer of Alt Karbe and his two sons. They were imprisoned on the allegation that they paid low wages. Both sons were beaten day and night, their shrieks keeping the other prisoners awake. When they washed they were beaten uninterruptedly on their backs. One day, the boys were forced to carry pails full of filth and march and jump carrying the pails. When the pails fell, they were compelled to put the filth back into the pails with their hands.

Both the boys attempted to commit suicide, but they were strictly guarded. An attempt to end their misery by suicide attracted new punishments. Even the prisoners who are used to Nazi methods were shocked at the sight of the bodies of the two Jewish boys. The Nazi guards also misused the boys, according to the New Statesman.

The director of the camp was anonymously informed of the affair and the ill-treatment of the Jews ceased for a while. The Nazi commandant punished the prisoners by prohibiting smoking and depriving them of parcels sent from the outside by relatives.

Recently a Nazi guard at the camp who was on leave was murdered by secret Nazi terrorists for having revealed camp happenings while he was home.
