The Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies will hold a “Minute Breakfast” at noon today at the Hotel Waldorf-Astoria, where the symbolic rites of the Federation Menorah will be performed in ceremonies.
Mrs. Felix M. Warburg and seven members of the breakfast committee will light the Menorah candles. The needs of many of the cases which are met by the Federation’s charities will be dramatized in a musical program. Eddie Cantor will act as master of ceremonies. Others taking part in the program will be Arthur Guiterman, Josef and Rosina Lhevinne, Gertrude Berg and Boris Morros.
A skit depicting “What Happens to the Federation Dollar” will be staged by children of Federation’s agencies. Written by Arthur Guiterman and Phil Boutelje, musician, the act has been staged under the direction of Paul Oscard. Mrs. Albert Warner is chairman of the entertainment committee which has arranged the program.
Speakers will include Felix M. Warburg and Mayor-elect Fiorello H. LaGuardia. Breakfast headquarters are at 730 Fifth Avenue.
