The Hias (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) has received an urgent appeal for immediate help from the Jews of Havana, Isaac L. Asofsky, general manager of the organization, declared Friday. According to the cable received by the Hias organization, the Jews of Havana are in great need and many families are faced with starvation unless immediate help is forthcoming.
