Word was received here by the American ORT Federation of the death in Switzerland on Feb. 17 of Eliezer Lewin-Epstein, 70, chairman of ORT Israel and a leading industrialist. Mr. Lewin-Epstein, one of the founders of ORT in Israel, was head of the country’s largest printing houses and was chairman of the Israel Institute of Productivity. He fought in the Israel War of Liberation in 1948 with the rank of colonel. He emigrated from Warsaw to settle in Palestine in 1924.
