The election of Rabbi Niemirower as member of the Roumanian Senate was ratified today by the Cabinet.
Rabbi Niemirower was elected recently by the Jews of Bukowina as the Jewish representative in the Senate, in accordance with an arrangement made recently with the Roumanian Government.
Workers in the United Jewish Appeal in Gary, IInd., now are engaged in raising the $20,000 added to their quota of $30,000, the first quota having been subscribed. The total funds collected to date amount to more than $25,000.
