An appeal for clemency for the two young Palestinians who were sentenced to death for the assassination of Lord Moyne, has been cabled by the American League for a Free Palestine, to the King and Premier of Egypt and to outstanding Governmental figures in Great Britain, it was disclosed today by Alex Wilf, Executive Director of the organization.

Mr. Wilf said that “the background of the full gamut of agency, despair and death of millions of Hebrews in Europe and the continued suffering of the survivors in that inferno, as well as the severity of the regime in Palestine, constitute sufficient reasons for leniency.” The American League requested commutation of the death sentence to imprisonment.
