Eddie Cantor, the radio and moving picture star, has assured the rescue of 414 Jewish refugee children from central Europe by raising $150,000 during the first ten days of his English tour on behalf of the Youth Aliyah movement, a cable received by Hadassah revealed today.
Mr. Cantor, who had set $100,000 as his goal, will remain in England until July 26 to continue raising funds for youth aliyah, and will arrive in this country on August I, remaining in New York until August 5.
