Dr. E. M. Bluestone, First Assistant Director of Mount Sinai Hospital, has been appointed Director of the Hadassah Medical Organization in Palestine, according to an announcement made by Miss Henrietta Szold, Chairman of Hadassah, the American Women’s Zionist Organization. Dr. Bluestone will sail early in March to take charge of the public health and medical work of Hadassah which carries on its activities in Palestine, irrespective of race or creed, although it is supported exclusively by American Jews.
Dr. Bluestone is the son of Dr. J. I. Bluestone, who was one of the founders of the Zionist Organization of America. He has been an extensive contributor to medical journals on hospital administration subjects. He will be in Palestine three years. During his stay in Palestine, Hadassah’s health activities are to be enlarged.
