Dr. Boris Tchlenoff, internationally known authority on social medicine and professor of the University of Born, Switzerland, died here today. He was 87 years old.
Born in Russia, he took an active interest in the work of the OSE, Jewish Health Society, and was honorary president of the World OSE Union during the last years of his life. During World War II he assisted greatly in the health work conducted by the Joint Distribution Committee in Europe. He also took great interest in health problems in Israel and was contemplating visiting the Jewish state this summer.
