The appointment of Solomon Dingol as editor-in-chief of The Day, Yiddish daily, was announced today by Morris Weinberg, the paper’s publisher.Mr. Dingel succeeds the late William Edlin, who died early this month. He has been managing editor of The Day for many years and has been on the daily’s staff for the past 25 years. He is a vice-president of the HIAS and a member of the national council of the JDC, the Academy of Political Science and the American Economic society.
