The death of the brilliant young Jewish leader, Dr. Ludwig Tietz, in Berlin Nov. 4 as the result of a hemmorhage, was directly due to the severe physical beating he received when he was arrested last summer together with a number of other leaders of the German Jewish youth, it was revealed here today.
Dr. Tietz was sever### beaten in a Nazi cellar for ######urs and his lungs. whi###ffected### by gas poisoning received during the World War, became much worse.
The sudden death of Dr. Tietz came only a few hours after the Nazi government had officially recognized the Jewish Youth Association, to which Dr. Tietz had devoted himself, and opened the possibility of the expansion of the activities of the organization.
