Nearly $300,000 was spent by the Home of the Daughters of Jacob to care for 500 aged men and women, according to the annual report of the institution which was made public by Mrs. Peter J. Schweitzer, president.
The income of the institution was $269,095 and its operating expenses $281,141, leaving a deficit for 1928-1929 of $12,046.
