Orthodox, Liberal and Reform groups among the English Jews united today in a Coronation service at the Great Synagogue of Aldgate.

Chief Rabbi Joseph H. Hertz said in a sermon: “Britain’s history is an outstanding witness to the stabilizing power of freedom. The crown’s guarantee for the continuance of British principles of government is thus vitally important in the prosperity and happiness of more than a quarter of the human race.”
