(Jewish Telegraphic Agency Mail Service)

Companies of several countries have asked permission to investigate the mineral and other possibilities of the Dead Sea with the view of later obtaining a concession to exploit such products commercially. Only recently the Jewish company which has been occupied for many years in investigating the possibilities of the Dead Sea finished its works.

Chemists from the Hebrew University and other Jewish experts have been investigating the various salts and depths of the Sea. An Australian company has also been making various investigations with the cooperation of the Government geologist, it is stated by “Davar.” The Chief Secretariat has stated that the results of the investigations and the plans for granting the concession are not for publication.
