The Palestine Government has appointed a special commission to investigate the causes of the explosion which sank the refugee ship Patria on Nov. 25, it was announced today.

The known death toll reached 41 when nine more bodies were recovered from the ship, including Adolf Arno, 38, of Germany, a woman named Holzer and the rest unidentified.

Jewish organizations have shown keen interest in the fate of the approximately 1,600 survivors, who are being held in Athlit detention camp pending their release. Several committees are caring for their clothing and other needs. The Government has permitted establishment of a school for children at Athlit and the Jewish Agency has appointed a teacher and two kindergarten nurses.
