Col. William J. Donovan, President Roosevelt’s special envoy, was in Jerusalem today. He arrived at Lydda last night and was met by United States Consul General George H. Wadsworth and Palestine Government representatives.

Accompanied by Wadsworth, Col. Donovan drove through Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, where he spent the afternoon sightseeing and later visited High Commissioner Sir Harold A. Mac-Michael at Government House. He is staying at the consulate until Friday, when he will proceed to Egypt.
