Opposition to any German emigration plan linked with increased Reich exports is expressed in the news letter of the World Alliance for International Friendship through Churches and the Church Peace Union. It says: “All efforts need to be made to help the victims of dictatorships, but such a scheme that indirectly aids the economic position of the Nazi war machine could only magnify the problem. Similar extortion schemes would be applied to other groups and by other states.”
