The Associated Talmud Torahs of Chicago and the Board of Jewish Education announced today the establishment of a united community Hebrew high school under joint sponsorship. It is the first such school in Chicago.

The afternoon high school, which expects an initial enrollment of from 400 to 500 students, will have branches in four Chicago suburbs. The new high school will provide facilities for continued Jewish education for graduates of elementary Jewish schools who previously had to turn to sectional and congregational high schools to continue their Jewish studies.
