Members of the House of Commons charged today that police, in making arrests at Sunday night’s mass meeting addressed by Sir Oswald Mosley, had discriminated against anti-Fascists and had used excessive force. The British Fascist leader bitterly attacked Jews in his speech.

The charges were made by a group including Sir Percy Harris, Vyvyan Adams, Emanuel Shinwell, William Mabane and Ernest Thurtle.

Sir John Simon, Home Secretary, replying at length, denied discrimination or use of excessive force by the police. He pledged the Government not to draw distinctions between the parties.
