The aid of Bronx Jewry in establishing a Jewish homeland in Palestine was pledged yesterday at the Bronx Conference for Palestine held at the Elks Club, Grand Concourse and Burnside avenue.

The conference accepted a quota of 25,000 names in the Zionist Organization roll call. One hundred delegates will be sent to the forthcoming national conference on Palestine to be held in Washington.

“Palestine is the only country that offers an abode and a haven for the Jewish people,” declared M. Maldwin Fertig. Others on the speakers’ list included: Bernard S. Deutsch, who was to preside at a dinner in the evening; Louis Lip-sky, Dr. Isidor Mogil, Dr. Martin Rosenblueth, Dr. Georg Landauer, Morris Margulies, Arnold K. Israeli, Abraham Mandel, and Moses Wortman. Dr. Harry Projector presided.
