An impressive demonstration against the intention of the British administration to create in Palestine a legislative council on the basis of the present population status was staged here today by the Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland.
Meeting in a special conference at the First Avenue Hotel, the Federation adopted a series of resolutions strongly opposing the legislative council, requesting revision of the Palestine immigration laws, demanding investigation by the British government of restrictions imposed on Palestine Jews and asking annulment of a projected law prohibiting Jewish immigrant doctors and lawyers from practicing their professions in Palestine.
