Author of Sensational Novel

Heinz Liepmann, famous German author and journalist, winner of Harper’s Special Prize for 1929 for his book “Wanderers in the Mist, ” has achieved universal acclaim with his latest book, “Murder Made in Germany, declared the most revealing and eloquent indictment aginst the brutality of Hitler Germany.

From all over the world spontaneous tributes have come to him including a message from Prof. Albert Einstein.

So effective is his portrayal of the horrors of present day Germany that the German Government has made every effort to have the book suppressed instituting libel suits against Liepmann and his publishers in every country where the book has appeared. To date Liepmann has won every such suit and expects to win the one now pending in this country.

Imprisoned in a German Concentration Camp he managed to escape, sick and bruised in body. In France, deathly sick, not expecting to survive the summer, he wrote his now famous book. On the pretext of having in it libelled the head of a friendly state, the German Government had him imprisoned in Holland while he was on a visit there.

No one can present a better first hand picture of present day Germany, or better report on the plight of the German refugee in Europe, than this man who is himself a refugee having suffered so much at the hands of the Nazi Government.

Heinz Liepmann is coming to America for a brief visit. He will be available for lectures during October and November.
