Property of B’nai B’rith throughout Poland was confiscated. The Warsaw, Lwow, Kattowice and Poznan lodges had property of insignificant value, but that of the Krakow lodge is valued at $10,000.
A “day without Jews” was enforced at Warsaw University by anti-Semitic students who barred the university’s entrances to Jews. Education Vice-Minister Prof. Alexsandrowicz left for Lwow to investigate the slaying of Karol Zellmeier, Jewish student at the School of Pharmacy. Zellmeier was stabbed to death Friday during an attack by an unidentified band on the campus of Lwow University. His three companions are in a hospital, suffering from stab wounds.
