The Nazi financial newspaper, Berliner Boersenzeitung, asserted today that President Roosevelt’s warning to the United States Congress against the threat of dictators was principally inspired by “the slavery in which Washington finds itself with regard to the Jewish high finance of Wall Street.” It also listed “the growing opposition to Roosevelt within his own party and, thirdly, the fact that Roosevelt wishes to become President of the United States for the third time and believes that any means are justified by this end.”

The 12-Uhr Blatt alleged that “Jews are masters of the American administration” and in particular that “they swarm about Harold L. Ickes,” Secretary of Interior.
