Secretary of Agriculture Ezra T. Benson today praised the development of Israel and saw in it an expanding market for U.S. agriculture. Returning from an 18-day trip to Europe and the Middle East the Secretary issued a statement summing up his visits in the various countries.
Talking about Israel, Mr. Benson said; “Israel is a growing and dynamic nation which must be visited to be fully believed and appreciated.” He added that Israel had a “remarkably high standard of living” and promises to become an expanding market for U.S. agricultural products. This was Secretary Benson’s second visit to Israel.
