The Vienna Jewish community, which has been bitterly fighting against the segregation of Jewish children in special ghetto schools, was placed in a peculiar position yesterday, when the Reichspost, official government organ, triumphantly announced that the Agudath Israel was supporting the school decree.

At the same time the Reichspost published a demand made by the Agudath Israel, the ultra-Orthodox Jewish group, that the leadership of the Jewish community be handed over to Orthodox Jewish elements. At present the Zionist groups control the Jewish community.
