The Prague Chamber of Goods and Stock Exchanges has dismissed all its Jewish employes, including Dr. Eckstein, general secretary, and has called a special meeting to “solve the Jewish question.” At the same time the Chamber of Engineers ordered all its Jewish members “immediately and of their own free will” to liquidate their enterprises, and appointed Chamber representatives to complete unfinished work.

Among other Jews who have lost important posts are R. Mandelik, president of the Cartel of Sugar Refiners. All Jewish employes of central organizations in the sugar industry have also been dismissed.

It is reported from Moravska-Ostrava that Dr. P. Maerz, head of the Zionist Organization, has been released from prison. Engineer Ernst Frischer, head of the former Jewish Party, is still imprisoned.

The Slovakian authorities have decreed that commissars are to be installed in all Jewish factories and shops.
