The Israel-Jordan Mixed Armistice Commission today found Jordan guilty of violating the armistice agreement in the wounding of two Israel soldiers in Jerusalem January 21. The MAC called upon Jordan to take effective measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents.

The MAC, which suspended consideration of an Israel complaint in the matter until an authentic map of the Jerusalem no-man’s land zone could be flown here from United Nations headquarters in New York, found that the Arab Legion had wounded two Israel soldiers and prevented their receiving first aid in an area which was within Israel territory. The Jordan contention was that the Israelis were in territory where they had no right to be.
