Ariel Sharon was rushed to the hospital Wednesday night after suffering what doctors described as a “significant stroke.” The Israeli prime minister was reported to be in surgery after cranial bleeding was detected, and Deputy Prime Minister Ehud Olmert took over Sharon’s powers. This was Sharon’s second stroke in several weeks, though the first one was reported to be minor.
