The second session of the international Archaeological Congress was opened here today by Henri de Jouvenel, French High Commissioner of Syria. Mr. Garstang, director of the Palestine Government Department of Antiquities, replied to the greetings of the French High Commissioner.

Professor Horowitz and Dr. Joseph Klausner, author of the book, “Jesus of Nazareth,” are representing the Hebrew University at the Congress. Dr. Nachum Slousch is participating in the Congress as the delegate of the Jewish Exploration Society in Palestine.
