Still one more of the 14 ex-Nazis on trial here for the murder of 70,000 persons, including more than 35,000 Jews, in the Minsk area during the war, confessed to the judge and Jury here today that he participated in the mass slaughter of Jews, Russians and Gypsies in White Russia.

Ernst Werzholz, 55, the latest of the group to confess publicly, told the court: “I did not approve of the brutal method of killing. But, under nonsensical pressure, I participated in the horrible outrages.” He admitted that, in 1942, he killed “some 60 Jews,” Today was the seventh day of the trial which is expected to continue for several weeks more.
